STRAWDOG STUDIOS MOVES ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP

Globally renowned computer game developer, Strawdog Studios, has announced that it is set to relocate to Friar Gate Studios’ prestigious penthouse facility, following a period of significant growth.

Strawdog Studios will join the buzzing creative community at Friar Gate Studios on Ford Street in Derby when it moves into the 1190sq ft penthouse unit later next month.

The company moves to Friar Gate Studios after out-growing its previous office facility at business incubation facility, the iD Centre on London Road, where it has spent the last seven years.

Since Strawdog Studios was formed in 2003, it has taken the gaming industry by storm and is now widely acknowledged as a market leader in the field of games development.

It develops applications and games for iPhone, iPad, Android and other Smart Phones, as well as Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, 3DS,  and PC using its in-house, cross-platform technology.

Strawdog are also registered developers for Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, PSP and Apple iPhone.

Commenting on their move to Friar Gate Studios, centre manager Ann Bhatti, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Strawdog Studios to the biggest and most prestigious office unit at Friar Gate Studios. The company has achieved tremendous success over the past few years, with a number of high profile clients, and I look forward to seeing them continue their expansion programme from their new offices here at the Studios.

Paul Smith, managing director of Strawdog Studios added:

“This is a very exciting time for Strawdog Studios - we have exceeded all our expectations over the past seven years and it is thanks to the significant support that we have received the iD Centre that we are now in a position to expand our operation and relocate to Friar Gate Studios.

“Leaving the iD Centre was a tough decision, but having outgrown our offices there, Friar Gate Studios was the obvious choice for us - it offers the same supportive environment to the iD Centre, but in a larger facilility, which will enable us to continue with our company development plans.”
