O´Brien Associates
A recently established firm of Derby architectural designers, which is playing a role in the formation of the speculative housing market in the Czech Republic has chosen Friar Gate Studios, the business centre for the creative industries, as the new home for its business.
O´Brien Associates, which specialises in architectural services relating to town planning and residential development, has relocated to a one of the offices within the high profile studios on Ford Street in Derby.
Richard O´Brien, who has more than 25 years experience of working on architectural projects and residential developments, formed O´Brien Associates in February of this year.
Prior to launching the company, Richard was the group design director for Antler Homes, where he was responsible for the design of homes in locations throughout England and the Channel Islands.
O´Brien Associates now works on a range of projects, which are predominantly based outside the UK. The company has recently been appointed by an 
international investment group who have a base in the Czech Republic to work, alongside a Czech residential developer and produce designs for residential developments including services such as schools, doctors, dentists and shops.
Commenting on the move to Friar Gate studios, Richard said:
"Friar Gate Studios was the obvious choice for our new offices. Its excellent facilities, central location and easy access to major road links made it ideally placed for the airport for our frequent overseas trips and for clients visiting our offices."
