SUCCCESS ON A PLATE FOR BEAN CAFFé
Nine months after its launch and Friar Gate Studios' very own cafe bar continues to get those creative juices flowing.
Bean Caffé opened it doors in September 2010 following a regional search to find a tenant. As a result, Sarah Prichard was selected from the hundreds of applicants who submitted their business plans to the board.
Sarah, who has worked in hotels around the world, now caters for the Studios' creative appetites with an extensive menu. Two new members of staff have also been recruited to help keep pace with increasing demand.
Bean Caffé serves traditional and 'power' breakfasts, a selection of tempting soups, sandwiches and salads, as well as chef's specials, whish are all made with locally sourced ingredients.
Bean Caffé also caters for the Studios' busy calendar of events.
Commenting on Bean Caffé's success to date, Sarah said:
"The last nine months have really flown by and I'm delighted with the success we have enjoyed to date. We have established a loyal clientele from within the Studios and are also encouraged by the increasing amount of passing trade from across the Cathedral Quarter.
Centre manager, Andleeb Bhatti, added:
"The café bar is an excellent addition to the facilities here at Friar Gate Studios and has helped to create a real sense of community, as well as providing a great place to network with other creatives in the building.
