Another innovative new enterprise has joined the growing family of creative businesses housed within Derby’s Friar Gate studios.
Luggage Rack, which has only recently been established, designs, develops and sources bespoke luggage, bags and accessories for leading brands and has taken a 458sq ft office facility within the Studios on Ford Street in the city.

Lightbox-Ed wins prestigious award
Lightbox-Ed, an education software development company, have made Friar Gate Studios their new home and started 2009 with celebrations by winning a prestigious award for Podium, educational software which allows students to create, edit and publish podcasts.

WORD OF MOUTH SPREADS TO FRIAR GATE STUDIOS
Mark Burrows, a familiar name from the World of radio has chosen Derby´s Friar Gate Studios as the new home for his business.
Together with business partner Andrew Upton, Mark launched Word of Mouth Creative in August of last year. The company specialises in audio projects, including radio commercials, voiceovers, announcements, soundtracks, podcasts and telephone system audio.
